📍 1. The God of Learning and the Vibrant Architecture
The craftsmanship of the wooden structures is truly impressive. Passing through the red ring, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. It is a place where history and sunlight intersect beautifully, providing great opportunities for photography.
📍 2. Memories in Ink: Goshuin and Ema
The calligraphy I received was exceptionally powerful, featuring the shrine's signature plum blossom seal. Around the main hall, you can see hundreds of Ema hanging on racks—mostly from students praying for academic success. The collective energy and hope in this area are palpable.
📍 3. The Sacred Cattle (Nade-ushi)
Known as Nade-ushi (Healing Cattle), these statues are believed to have healing powers. It is said that if you rub the statue on the part of your body where you feel pain, the deity will heal it. I gave the head a gentle rub, hoping for a bit of wisdom for the rest of my journey!
